Where are all the kitties? Most people don’t know, but female cats go out of heat (cannot get pregnant) when they are exposed to less than 12 hours of daylight. This happens naturally, in the wild, from mid September until Mid March. This is because, in the wild, any litters born during colder winter months have a much smaller chance of survival. Sometimes females are fooled to stay in heat by staying inside lighted areas, and we may get a winter litter, but we don’t know at this time if or when that may happen. |
