Purebred Kitten Warranties: 2-Year Life Warranty If you should lose your kitten due to a preexisting health condition as determined by a licensed veterinarian (accidents are not included) within two years from the date of purchase, Premiere Pets will, at your option, provide you with full credit towards another Premiere Pets kitten of your choice. To qualify under this provision, you must keep the kitten under the regular and continued care of a licensed veterinarian. This care must include a complete immunization (including leukemia) and deworming program recommended by your veterinarian as well as immediate treatment for any obvious signs of illness or injury. To make a claim under this provision, you must bring a veterinarian’s certificate showing the date and the cause of loss to Premiere Pets within 30 days after the loss has occurred. You must also authorize the release, to Premiere Pets, a complete copy of your kitten’s health care records for the period of ownership. 14-Day Warranty on Health If, in the opinion of your veterinarian, your kitten has any physical problem which makes it a poor health risk, you may within fourteen days of purchase, return the kitten to Premiere Pets, for a full refund or full credit towards another Premiere Pets kitten of your choice. To make a claim under this provision, bring your kitten back to Premiere Pets within 48 hours after your veterinarian’s examination. You must also bring a signed statement from the veterinarian showing the date, within the fourteen day period, on which they conducted their examination and the reason they believe the kitten to be a poor health risk. This statement must include a description of the symptoms supporting their opinion. Since it is your intention to return the kitten for a refund or credit, your veterinarian should not provide any further immunizations or treatment for the kitten. Be assured that all necessary care will be provided after consultation with our veterinarian upon the kitten’s return. |

Domestic Kitten Warranties: 30-Day Life Warranty Premiere Pets finds homes for domestic kittens as a public service to our community. Due to this fact, we can take no responsibility for any transmission of disease or parasite to another animal or person in the home. The price of this kitten covers our expenses such as FIRST vaccinations, FIRST deworming, FIRST treatment for ear mites (as a precaution), feline leukemia/FIV tests, flea bath, food, and kennel maintenance while in our care. Any positive results are documented, and the customer is notified of the results at the time of purchase. The purchase of this kitten relieves Premiere Pets of any responsibility for any care or treatment of other family members whether human or animal. As this is a public service, Premiere Pets will not be responsible for any veterinary bills incurred from or because of your new kitten. Our store veterinarian advises that for your kitten's protection, we vaccinate with Eclipse IV, Felovax III or Purevax III and deworm with Albon or Panacur, if necessary. These were administered on the date indicated on the health record issued to you at the time of purchase. Premiere Pets has made every possible effort to diagnose and treat any pre-existing illness prior to its arrival at the store. If a parasite is in its incubation period, it may be unable to be detected by Premiere Pets or our consulting veterinarian. We recommend that you consult your veterinarian concerning booster shots, rabies vaccines, leukemia vaccines, and spaying/neutering your kitten. This warranty makes NO provisions for a refund. If, within thirty days of purchase, your veterinarian determines that your kitten has a condition making it a poor health risk (i.e., terminal disease or probable organ malformation) and states so in writing, we will replace your kitten with a healthy kitten of equal or lesser price. |

Puppy Warranties: 5-Year Life Warranty If you should lose your puppy due to a pre-existing health condition as determined by a licensed veterinarian (accidents are not included) within 5 years from the date of purchase, Premiere Pets will credit your original purchase price towards another Premiere Pets puppy of your choice. To qualify under this provision, you must keep the puppy under the regular, continued care of a licensed veterinarian. This care must include routine maintenance and immediate treatment for any obvious signs of illness or injury. To make a claim under this provision, you must bring a veterinarian’s statement showing the date and unambiguous cause of the loss to Premiere Pets within 30 days after the loss has occurred. A necropsy (autopsy) must be performed if cause of death is not unambiguously hereditary in nature. You must also authorize release, to Premiere Pets and/or our veterinarian, a complete copy of your puppy’s health records for the period of ownership. 2-Year Warranty Against Hereditary Defects If, within two years from the purchase date, your puppy is diagnosed by your veterinarian as having a debilitating hereditary defect, aside from excluded issues, that in their opinion prevents your puppy from serving you as a companion pet, you may return the puppy to Premiere Pets. You will receive either a full refund or full credit towards another Premiere Pets puppy of your choice. To make a claim under this provision, bring a signed statement from your veterinarian indicating the date of their diagnosis, the nature of the defect, their statement that the defect is hereditary in nature, and the reasons why the defect prevents the puppy from serving as a companion pet. At the option of Premiere Pets, you may also be required to secure a second veterinary opinion, at our expense and/or return the puppy. In all instances, you will be required to show proof of spay/neuter on the dog or return all registration documents for the puppy to guard against breeding. Allergies and “cherry eye” are not deemed hereditary defects; they are acquired syndromes and will not be honored under any warranty herein. 14-Day Warranty on Health If, in the opinion of your veterinarian, your puppy has any physical problem which makes it a poor health risk, you may (within 14 days of purchase) return the puppy to Premiere Pets for a full refund or full credit towards another Premiere Pets puppy of your choice. To make a claim under this provision, return your puppy as quickly as possible after your veterinarian’s examination. You must also bring in a signed statement from the veterinarian showing the date, within the 14-day period, on which they conducted their examination and the reason they believe the puppy to be a poor health risk. Since it is your intention to return the puppy for credit or refund, your veterinarian should not provide any further immunizations or treatment for the puppy. Be assured that all necessary care will be provided after consultation with our veterinarian upon the puppy’s return to Premiere Pets. Any medical coverage for minor ailments must be verified and acknowledged by a Premiere Pets manager before reimbursement. You may be referred to another veterinarian, at our expense, for a second opinion and medication/treatment options. |
